The Miami Lantern Parade is a new annual celebration of light, art and community. The tradition begins January 23, 2027, on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach — bringing together families, artists, schools, businesses and visitors to create something extraordinary together.
Lanterns made in classrooms, studios, living rooms, lobbies and community rooms across Miami Beach and Greater Miami — carried together down Lincoln Road, where the tradition begins. 2027 creative theme: Into the Blue.

Lincoln Road today — before the light arrives.
For one evening, one of America's most iconic pedestrian streets becomes a moving work of art.
From Alton Road to Drexel Avenue, lanterns created across our community will travel beneath Lincoln Road's trees, past its fountains, its public art, its restaurants, its plazas and its gathering places.
Music and a live DJ will bring energy to Lincoln Road as the lantern procession moves through the district.
The architecture stays the same. The light changes everything.
BENEATH THE TREES. PAST THE FOUNTAINS.
Walk it in daylight and it is a street of shade, water, benches and conversation. Imagine it after dark, carried forward by thousands of small points of light moving in the same direction.

How the night works
6:30 PM — Gather
Gathering begins on Lincoln Road: lanterns, installations, pop-ups, food, DJ, and parade participants assembling at Alton Road. Groups assemble around the intersection and along Alton Road extending north from Lincoln Road, toward the Ace Hardware area. Please be mindful of surrounding businesses — don't block storefronts, entrances, sidewalks or customer access.
7:30 PM — Welcome / Final Assembly
Welcome, final parade assembly, and anticipation builds.
8:00 PM — Walk
The Miami Lantern Parade steps off from Alton Road and moves east along Lincoln Road toward Drexel Avenue.
8:00–9:00/9:15 PM — Parade
The procession moves along Lincoln Road toward Drexel Avenue.
9:00/9:15–10:00 PM — Parade Finale & Celebration
DJ, installations, pop-ups, restaurants and post-parade celebration.
10:00 PM — Formal Lantern Programming Concludes
Formal parade/lantern programming and installations conclude.
10:00 PM–1:00 AM — DJ Continues
Post-parade DJ and Lincoln Road celebration continues. Stay on Lincoln Road — have dinner, grab a drink or dessert, explore the shops and enjoy Miami Beach.
1:00 AM — Music Ends
DJ programming currently planned until 1:00 AM, subject to final permitting and event approvals.
Spectators
Pick your spot anywhere along Lincoln Road.
No need to crowd the start. Spread out along the whole promenade — especially around the shops, restaurants and the heart of the route. Stay toward the outer edges and keep the center clear. Leave room for the magic to pass.
Register as a spectator — freeNo flames — LED lights only. Lanterns must be self-powered. There will be no electrical connections available for parade lanterns or mobile illuminated creations.
